About Katrina Jobs
When Hurricane Katrina devasted the Gulf Coast communities of Louisiana and Mississippi, hundreds of thousands of people were left homeless and jobless. Companies were destroyed, and people were left without resources to continue on. It was from this devastation that KatrinaJobs.com arose.

KatrinaJobs.com seeks to be a clearing house for companies to post jobs for those seeking jobs that lost all they had. President Bush's Katrina Aid Bill will place billions of dollars towards the relief efforts; some of that will be incentives for employers to hire extra employees that qualify for the aid, to put them to work.

We will be seeking to contact and register companies that accept these incentives to have their jobs listed with us, and to make available our job-seeker service to victims of Katrina seeking employment. Though that need is the most prevalent, we are also aware that there were millions that were unemployed before Katrina as well. We open up our service to them as well, though not all positions may be available to them due to restrictions on the incentives.

Even if a company is not receiving incentives, we hope they will use our service to put those in desperate need of work into their employ. These are hard working and reliable people just looking for a break in life.

We hope that all parties will be respectable of each other, and remember that regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, age, and sexuality - we are all humans, deserving of consideration and kindness.
